Berlinger Medical

Cold Chain Temperature Loggers

USB data loggers providing continuous temperature monitoring and tamper-evident regulatory documentation across every vaccine shipment.

You cannot manage what you cannot measure. Most vaccine cold chains in Africa are being managed without a single temperature record.

Berlinger Medical's FRIDGE-tag and Check-it USB temperature data loggers provide continuous temperature recording from -30°C to +70°C with alarm thresholds, downloadable PDF and CSV reports and alarm memory that persists even through battery failure. Deployed in SureChill refrigerators, Evermed cold boxes and vaccine transport vehicles, Berlinger loggers provide the temperature audit trail required for government vaccination programme documentation, donor compliance and veterinary regulatory reporting.

Cold Chain Temperature Loggers

Persistent alarm memory

Berlinger's alarm memory retains the warmest and coldest temperature excursion with timestamp even if the battery is replaced or the logger is reset. This immutable cold chain record cannot be tampered with after the fact, providing credible evidence for regulatory purposes, insurance claims and donor programme documentation.

USB PDF report

Plug the logger into any USB port and a PDF temperature report is generated automatically, no software installation required, no proprietary reader, no cloud subscription. The report includes the full temperature trace, alarm events with timestamps, min/max/mean temperatures and the WHO-standard MKT calculation.

FRIDGE-tag visual alarm

The FRIDGE-tag mounts inside the vaccine refrigerator door and provides a continuous visual alarm indicator, a red cross display that activates when temperature exceeds 2-8°C and remains active until acknowledged. Cold chain status can be verified at a glance without any equipment.

KVB requires documented cold chain evidence.

The Kenya Veterinary Board requires cold chain compliance documentation for registered vaccine storage facilities. Government programme audits by OIE, FAO and donors require temperature records demonstrating vaccines were maintained within specification throughout storage and transport. Facilities without monitoring data face programme suspension, regulatory fines and vaccine rejection. A Berlinger logger costs less than a single FMD vaccine dose.

KVB requires documented cold chain evidence.

Transport monitoring closes the last-mile evidence gap.

Temperature excursions in vaccine transport are the leading cause of field vaccination failure. A vaccine that left the county store in specification and arrived warm has unknown, often destroyed, potency. Berlinger USB loggers in each Evermed cold box provide a per-delivery temperature record. When a campaign underperforms, the logger data tells you whether the cold chain or the vaccine is responsible.

Global Fund and GAVI audits accept Berlinger PDF output.

Global Fund, GAVI, FAO and USAID-funded livestock and human health programmes all require cold chain monitoring documentation in programme reporting. Berlinger's PDF output is the accepted format for programme audit submissions, a standardised, tamper-evident temperature record that satisfies donor requirements without custom software or laboratory-specific data formats.
