FMD serotype ID
FMD is caused by 7 serotypes. Vaccine choice depends on which serotype is circulating. IDEXX FMD antigen RDTs identify the serotype from an epithelial sample in 15 minutes, enabling correct vaccine selection for emergency ring vaccination without waiting days for laboratory PCR confirmation.
Brucellosis RBT
The Rose Bengal Test is the international standard field screening test for brucellosis. IDEXX's field-portable card format delivers the same sensitivity and specificity as laboratory RBT, allowing a field officer to screen an entire herd on-farm and identify reactor animals in a single visit.
PPR field diagnosis
PPR spreads explosively in unvaccinated small ruminant populations. IDEXX PPR nasal swab RDTs detect PPR antigen in 20 minutes, giving the field veterinarian a confirmed diagnosis before leaving the farm. Early diagnosis triggers quarantine and emergency vaccination before the outbreak spreads.

Brucellosis eradication programmes need scalable field testing.
