Motorised Theatre Tables
Multifunctional electro-hydraulic operating tables for all surgical disciplines.

Every surgical discipline demands a different patient position — one table should cover them all.
Steel & Power electro-hydraulic operating tables are engineered for all-discipline versatility — supporting orthopaedic, general, urological, laparoscopic, gynaecological, vascular and neurosurgical procedures from a single platform. The fully motorised 5-section table top supports Trendelenburg, reverse Trendelenburg, lateral tilt, flex and extension configurations — all controlled from a single floor-mounted pendant. The radiolucent carbon fibre table top enables unrestricted C-arm fluoroscopy access from any angle without patient repositioning during procedure. Battery backup maintains full positioning function through the power interruptions common in African hospital environments.

Versatility
One Steel & Power table supports orthopaedic, general, urological, laparoscopic, gynaecological and vascular procedures — eliminating the need for discipline-specific tables and maximising capital utilisation across the department.
Imaging compatibility
Radiolucent carbon fibre table top provides unrestricted C-arm fluoroscopy access from any angle — enabling intraoperative X-ray imaging for orthopaedic fixation, vascular stenting and urological procedures without patient repositioning.
Resilience
Integrated battery backup maintains full motorised positioning function during power interruptions. In African hospital environments where power supply is variable, a table that holds position through outages is not a premium feature — it is a patient safety requirement.
All disciplines — one table.
Discipline-specific theatre tables — orthopaedic, general, urological — represent a significant capital investment per procedure type. Steel & Power's multifunctional design combines the positioning range of specialist tables in one platform: split leg sections for lithotomy, lateral tilt for kidney and thoracic access, steep Trendelenburg for laparoscopic gynaecology, and flat extension for orthopaedic procedures. Jos•Hansen's theatre design service ensures the correct table configuration is specified for each hospital's procedure mix before procurement.

Radiolucent top — intraoperative fluoroscopy without patient repositioning.
Intraoperative C-arm fluoroscopy is required for orthopaedic fracture fixation, hip and knee arthroplasty, vascular stenting, urological stone procedures and many other surgical disciplines. Moving a patient mid-procedure to a specialised radiolucent table adds time, anaesthetic risk and surgical complexity. The Steel & Power carbon fibre radiolucent table top enables the C-arm to pass underneath from any angle without repositioning — and without obstructing the beam or creating artefacts in the fluoroscopic image.

Motorised positioning with battery backup — engineered for Africa.
All positioning functions — height adjustment, Trendelenburg, reverse Trendelenburg, lateral tilt, back flex and leg section articulation — are fully motorised and controlled from a single floor-pendant. Positioning precision is maintained by the electro-hydraulic drive system, which locks each section in place independently. The integrated battery backup system activates automatically during power interruptions, maintaining all current positions and enabling controlled repositioning until mains power is restored.
