Radixact Treatment System
Adaptive helical TomoTherapy with real-time motion management.

360° helical delivery — adaptive, multi-site, and anatomically precise.
The Radixact system delivers radiotherapy through continuous helical rotation, using every beam angle in a full 360° arc to wrap dose tightly around complex, irregular tumour volumes. Synchrony real-time motion management tracks tumour position in 6 degrees of freedom and automatically adjusts delivery — no breath-hold, no gating delays. Helical delivery enables simultaneous treatment of multiple tumour sites in a single session, reducing the total number of hospital visits for patients with multi-site disease. At African referral hospitals where late-stage, multi-site presentations are common, Radixact's capability profile addresses the most complex caseloads.

Adaptability
Synchrony motion management tracks tumour position in real time across 6 degrees of freedom — automatically adjusting helical beam delivery as the patient breathes. No breath-hold protocol, no patient coaching, no gating delays.
Multi-site
Helical delivery enables multiple tumour sites to be treated in a single session — reducing total treatment visits for patients with oligometastatic or multi-site disease, which represents a significant proportion of African oncology presentations.
Conformity
360° helical arc uses every beam angle to sculpt dose tightly around irregular target volumes — achieving conformity that fixed-gantry systems cannot match for complex anatomies, craniospinal fields and whole-body indications.
Helical delivery for targets that challenge conventional gantry systems.
Fixed-gantry LINACs are optimised for localised targets at a single isocentre. Radixact's helical arc has no isocentre constraint — it treats long targets (craniospinal irradiation, total body irradiation), multiple simultaneous isocentres, and complex pelvic or thoracic volumes in one continuous delivery. For African oncology centres managing advanced disease with complex field requirements, this capability eliminates the need for multiple treatment plans or re-positioning between sites.

Synchrony — the system adapts to the patient, not the other way around.
Synchrony motion management uses X-ray imaging and external surface tracking to model the relationship between tumour motion and breathing cycle in real time. During treatment, if the tumour moves, the system responds in 6 degrees of freedom — translating and rotating the beam to follow. This removes the compromise between treatment accuracy and patient comfort that has historically required breath-hold coaching or abdominal compression.

Daily CTrue imaging — anatomical verification at every fraction.
Before each treatment fraction, CTrue MV CT imaging acquires a daily CT that confirms the patient's anatomy and tumour position match the approved treatment plan. Any anatomical change — post-surgical cavity evolution, bladder filling, weight loss — is identified before delivery begins. Jos•Hansen's medical physics team trains clinical staff in image review workflows and adaptive re-planning protocols as part of every Radixact commissioning programme.

Why Radixact.
Helical conformity
360° arc delivery wraps dose around irregular volumes at any body site — achieving conformity that fixed-gantry LINACs cannot match for complex or long-field cases.
Synchrony adaptability
Real-time 6D motion tracking adjusts delivery as the patient breathes — no breath-hold, no gating protocol, no patient coaching required.
Multi-site efficiency
Multiple targets treated in one session — reducing total treatment visits for patients with oligometastatic or multi-site disease.
Physicist-managed commissioning
Jos•Hansen's certified physicists manage all Radixact commissioning: beam characterisation, TPS model, CTrue imaging calibration and clinical QA programme.
